KARNIVOOL
Ian Kenny: One of the first things I bought was Joe Satriani’s Surf ing with the Alien . And the things that really left a mark were Soundgarden’s Superunknown and Nirvana’s Nevermind . I still listen to those, but there was some weird sh-t in the beginning that I’m a little shy to admit... I think the first thing that I actually bought might have been Roxette, and then I got Michael Jackson’s Bad .
Drew Goddard: I also smashed a bit of Roxette back in the day – Dressed for Success! The first album I can remember actually buying with my own money was Green Day’s Dookie , which was like the gateway drug to Nirvana and Soundgarden. I still vibe on Dookie , I think it’s a great record. Punchy little poppy punk songs... it was a big part of my journey.
from artists I’ve never heard of and expanding my knowledge of music, which helps my DJ career.
