PAPAYA RULES! As hardcore F1 fans will already know, the shade of orange that the McLaren team has embraced is known as “papaya”. The RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle

Customisation The two solid gear shift flappy paddles are reprogrammable, so you can leave them as-is, or tweak to pull off such race-winning moves as a handbrake/ accelerator grid launch, all via Logitech’s easy-to use G HUB app. There’s further customisation available, too. Different racing

games often have different settings, so you can store five different racing profiles within your RS50 System via the inbuilt OLED screen on the wheel base. Floor it! The top technology continues in the RS pedals, with the accelerator featuring contact-free Hall effect tech, while the 75kg load cell brake ups the realism further. They also bring customisation even further to the fore, with each of the two included pedals being modular. This allows budding racers to space them horizontally however best suits their driving style, or to allow for different widths of footwear. You can even adjust pedal feel via included dampers and spacers. Firmer, or softer? It’s your call. While a clutch pedal isn’t included, those who still think that manual gearboxes rule (respect!) can purchase the RS Clutch Pedal separately, and it’s designed to easily bolt on to the RS Pedals base. Get set… An included clamping system allows you to quickly and easily attach the RS System to a solid desk or table – it literally takes seconds, and removal is just as easy. Just pop the unit upon the surface where you want it, attach the clamp, and tighten the screw mechanism. Of course, if you’re investing in a system such as this you may already have a dedicated racing rig. Unsurprisingly, the RS System is equally happy here, with all the right bolt holes on the base to attach to any good quality frame. Go! For any driver, in real life or simulated, setting things up so that they’re just how you like them is key, and with their raft of customisations both physical and in software, Logitech G bring the options with their RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle. If you’ve never experienced sim racing with a wheel and pedals, then you’re in for the ride of your life. Or, if you’re an old hand, you’ll likely be surprised at what a step up in realism the RS50 delivers.

If you’re an F1 fan looking for a top-notch sim racing rig, then have Logitech G got the kit for you!Their renowned RS50 series has been given a McLaren makeover, with a new bundle packing in everything that you need to hit the virtual track in Formula 1 style. Words Amy Flower

One with the lot! The Logitech G RS50 McLaren Racing

Bundle really is a one stop shop for starting – or updating - your sim racing journey. The collection packs in an RS50 direct drive base, an RS50 wheel hub, an RS50 Formula steering wheel, and an RS50 pedal set. Racing support The bundle is ready to race on PlayStation PS5/ PS4 and PC out of the box. If your console of choice is the Xbox Series X|S, you can buy a separate wheel hub and just slot that into the package in place of the PlayStation one. As well as compatibility, the most noticeable difference is the button markings, which echo the consoles that they support. Specs On the technical side of things, the RS System harnesses cutting edge tech that combines Logitech’s advanced TRUEFORCE feedback with direct drive technology, rather than gear or belt drive, to deliver a more precise simulation of real racing. Speaking even more technically, the RS System brings 8Nm of force feedback into play, which means a more realistic delivery of in-game physics such as road conditions, and

motor vibrations. The hub also features a quick release mechanism for easy swapping to other wheel styles, which are available separately. The wheel thing The included Formula wheel echoes the look of the real thing, and it feels great in-hand, as well as in the heat of the race. It's made from silicone leather, although you'd be hard-pressed to tell that it’s actually synthetic.

The Logitech G RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle is out October 13
