ANSWERS on page 74
1 What was the first game that you played? I grew up in the ‘80s and we had a ColecoVision when I was a little kid. I played Coleco games over and over like Antarctic Adventure, Mouse Trap, Smurf, and Space Panic . Some of the sound effects in those games still pop into my head decades later! 2 What was the last game that you finished? I love starting new games, but I don’t always roll credits before jumping over to a new game. There are so many amazing games to play every year I want to get to them all! With that said, I’m working on finishing up Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty , and I recently finished a cosy game called Go-Go Town . 3 What’s your favourite video game/series of all time? Outside of any series I’ve worked on, Zelda comes to mind as a consistently amazing series for decades. I remember the first time I walked outside the house at the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and being floored by the rain, music, and atmosphere. Just writing about it brings a smile to my face and makes me want to go back and re-play. 4 What do you think is the most underrated video game of all time? Not underrated of all time, but I really enjoyed The Alters last year and was surprised I didn’t hear more people talking about it. For me it was a great mix of base-building/ management alongside an interesting story and lots of player choice.

5 What’s the game that you most wish you’d worked on? I’m amazed by the sheer scale and RPG depth of a game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance II , so it would be fun to see how that comes together behind the scenes. I’d also love to be a fly on the wall to understand the development process for some Nintendo first party titles, like Donkey Kong Bananza . They’re just best in class for making fun features work for many hours of gameplay. Can I also work on a Katamari game? That seems like it would be a blast to work on!
Katamari
