What is Tefal InfraHeat technology?

Tefal’s new Ever Fry air fryers turn up the temperature using InfraHeat technology for faster heat-up and extra crunch, along with two clever ways to cook more at once. Words Bec Summer Tefal turns up the HEAT

Think of InfraHeat as giving hot air some backup. While a traditional air fryer relies on circulating heated air, InfraHeat combines hot airflow with infrared energy that transfers heat directly to the food’s surface. That means cooking can get underway faster, while the circulating air still works its magic on the outside. InfraHeat can provide up to four times faster heat-up and results up to 30% crispier, while retaining an ultra-juicy texture inside. In other words, that means less waiting, more crunch, and juicy results inside – exactly what you want from an air fryer. Which Tefal Ever Fry model is right for you? Choose the Dual Drawer 11L if… you regularly cook for a crowd, want the larger overall capacity, or like having two differently sized drawers for a main and side. Its 11L capacity can cater for up to ten. Choose the Flex 9L if… versatility matters more. Keep its divider in for two independently controlled zones, then remove it when lasagne, two chickens, or another oversized meal needs the entire 9L JumboZone. Tefal EY9488 Ever Fry InfraHeat Dual Drawer 11L Air Fryer

One drawer for dinner, one for the chips? This air fryer’s dual drawer gives you two differently sized cooking zones – 6.5L and 4.5L – with 11L combined capacity, enough to feed up to ten people. The asymmetric setup is particularly handy when dinner isn't an even split. The larger drawer can handle the main course – including a whole chicken – while the smaller side handles chips or veggies. Each has independent cooking controls, and Sync Mode times both zones to finish together. No more perfectly cooked chicken waiting around for the chips to catch up. There are eight automatic programs, adjustable temperatures from 40°C to 200°C, and a dehydration mode that can run for up to eight hours. Removable parts are dishwasher safe, while the digital touch panel and automatic alerts help keep dinner moving without constant supervision.
