GETTING OUT & ABOUT WATCH WITH THE RIGHT

Made for the great outdoors

Huawei WATCH THE ADVENTURE ON YOUR WRIST GT 7 Pro The watch

On two wheels Climb Planning previews the hills ahead, then Climb Broadcast gives you gradient and remaining distance on the way up. Sharp Turn Alerts can warn when a tight bend is coming up fast – handy when the fun part begins on the descent. On the green Move the virtual flagstick to match its real position and get distances to the front, flag, and back of the green. Auto-rotating Green View changes with your perspective, while the 18-hole scorecard keeps the pencil and-paper maths to a minimum. In the water Freediving support reaches 40 metres, taking the GT 7 Pro beyond the usual pool-and-beach smartwatch brief. On the slopes resorts, with trail and lift information and colour coded difficulty. The watch can separate runs from lift time; track turns and even record G-force. Download maps for more than 3,000 ski

The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro is made for days when getting out and about means doing more than sightseeing – hitting a trail, cycling, teeing off, or heading into the water. It puts a lot of outdoor know-how on your wrist. Huawei rates battery life at up to 21 days with light use, around 12 days with typical use, and up to 51 hours in Trail Run mode. That last figure matters if your idea of a weekend takes you beyond a power point. AI-XDR positioning helps keep outdoor routes on track, while the sports support goes well beyond the usual suspects. Golf, skiing, running, cycling, and freediving to 40 metres all get dedicated features, backed by more than 100 workout modes. The 1.47-inch AMOLED display reaches up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, helping keep routes, climbs, and workout stats visible in strong sunlight. It’s ready for rougher days out, too, pairing sapphire glass with a scratch-resistant nano-tech ceramic bezel and titanium alloy construction, plus IP69 and 5 ATM water protection. Health insights can turn sleep, activity, and recovery data into a physical readiness score each morning – useful when yesterday’s quick hike became an all-day trek and you’re deciding how ambitious to be today. And iOS and Android compatibility means your smartphone connection is good to go.

What’s new compared with the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro?

The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro builds on plenty of strengths from its predecessor, including the 3,000-nit display, up to 21-day battery life, 40m freediving, sapphire glass, and titanium construction. This time, the bigger changes are in what it can do with all that outdoor hardware. Smarter outdoor tracking: New and expanded tools add more detail to skiing and cycling, while AI XDR positioning improves route tracking. A better read on recovery: The new Physical Readiness Score turns recent activity and recovery data into an easy morning snapshot. More staying power on the trail: Trail Run battery life now reaches up to 51 hours, up from the GT 6 Pro’s 40 hours of outdoor sport use.

Who is it for? The person who comes home from a weekend with muddy shoes, a half empty water bottle, and another route already planned. If your weekends regularly involve running, riding, skiing, golf, or freediving – and you want useful insights on your wrist without turning every outing into a data exercise - the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro is the way to go. Long battery life also makes it a strong fit for weekend warriors.
