VARSITY BLUES AID A late ’90s staple, Varsity Blues lands on 4K as both a celebration and a bittersweet reminder of its legacy. Following the recent passing of James Van Der Beek, and with co-stars Paul Walker and Ron Lester also gone, it carries added weight today. Still, its themes of pressure, rebellion, and small-town expectations remain as potent as ever, anchored by Jon Voight’s memorably intense coach. This release includes native 2160p with Dolby Vision and HDR10, supported by Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio. Out May 6

1408 VIAVISION One of the more understated Stephen King adaptations, 1408 has quietly grown in reputation and is worthy of reappraisal. Directed by Mikael Håfström and led by John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson, this psychological chiller trades jump scares for mounting dread and existential unease. Largely confined to a single hotel room, it’s a masterclass in tension and atmosphere. This 4K release presents the film in crisp 2160p with HDR, supported by immersive audio, elevating every eerie detail. Out May 13

BRIDESMAIDS AID A modern comedy classic, Bridesmaids still lands every outrageous gag while keeping one foot grounded in relatable heartbreak and friendship. Kristen Wiig leads a stellar ensemble including Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, and Melissa McCarthy, whose scene-stealing turn became instantly iconic.
