The next generation of Huawei’s Watch Fit is here, with both the Fit 4 and the Fit 4 Pro bringing new features, incredible battery life, and all the tools you need to hit your fitness goals. Words James O'Connor Keep your health on track with the new HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 SERIES

Staying on track The built-in multi-band GPS available in both models is extremely useful for exercise routines, and goes beyond simply preventing you from getting lost. It can show you the paths you've run, biked, or otherwise taken, and where to go next. Both Fit 4 models can also intelligently detect what kind of exercise you're doing to generate accurate data – and they've added watersport route tracking for the first time ever – keeping track of route, speed and distance when you swim, surf, or dive. Golf enthusiasts will be particularly pleased with the Pro model's new course maps: it includes 3D views of over 15,000 different courses to give you the edge as you navigate the fairways. Syncing and customisation The Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro are compatible with both iOS and Android, and can be synced via Bluetooth to take calls or send voice-to-text messages. The home screen is customisable, so you can adorn the watch face with stickers and emojis, or change the face display entirely. Moreover, a powerful barometer in both models can sense when storms are coming and warn you in advance, and a remote camera shutter option lets you set up a paired phone for a photo and then trigger the shutter from afar. Battery life The Huawei Fit range has been celebrated for its battery life, and the Fit 4 series is no exception. Both watches offer up to ten days, although typical battery life with moderate use is seven full days (four with Always On Display enabled). It takes just 75 minutes to fully charge the watch, even if it's completely drained, and the Pro model also supports wireless charging for greater convenience. * While health and fitness devices provide accurate readings, they are not medical devices or intended to replace professional advice from a GP

Form factor Both models of the Huawei Watch Fit 4 sport a gorgeous 1.82-inch AMOLED rectangular display capable of up to 2,000 nits of brightness, and the Pro model adds a strong sapphire glass and titanium bezel for a premium look. These smartwatches are just 9.5mm thick and weigh in at a mere 27g, making them ultra light on the wrist with an 80% screen-to-body ratio. The Fit 4 series is designed to be stylish as well as practical.

Health watch The health and wellness trackers on the Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro let you monitor your wellbeing on a granular level. Both watches provide advanced insights into sleep patterns, tracking heart rate variability and breathing throughout the night – the watch will notify you of any changes it notices. They can also track menstrual cycles and highlight fertility windows, as well as monitoring heart rate. Also featured is the new

Health Insights app, which correlates your data to track stress, provides advice on improving sleep, and helps you to maintain exercise goals.

Pair the watch with a Huawei Health+ membership and you'll also gain access to weight management coaching, diet planning, exercise classes, and more (monthly fees apply). Pulse wave arrhythmia analysis and Huawei's emotional wellbeing app round out a smartwatch that’s devoted to keeping you healthy.*
