What prompted you to buy an Airwrap – what were you looking for? The marketing of how simple the product looked to use, and the end result it provided, appealed to me as a busy mum who is very time poor. I wanted the best results I could get with the least fuss. What were your first impressions - is it really as immediately game-changing as it looks? I’m skeptical by nature because I’ve been sold the dream before with hair care products that haven’t lived up to expectations. However, the quality is what you would expect from Dyson. It looked good, felt good, and was easy to use from the very start. Minimal fuss – exactly what I needed. with JACINTA JONES , Dyson Airwrap fan Over time, what did you learn about its features? I bought it exclusively for the excellent curling feature, but I soon found myself leaning into the straightening, smoothing, and blow brush functions. It’s the complete hair care package. What’s your favourite way to use the Airwrap to style your hair? My go-to for the Airwrap is curling and blow waving. I use these functions every single day. What is the biggest major benefit you’ve noticed since making the Airwrap a staple of your hair care regime? Without doubt, the ease of operation and the time-saving. Hair curling can be a hazardous job, and real hit-and-miss. With the Airwrap, there’s no steep learning curve – you can do it straight away. There’s far less damage to my hair, and it’s an all-round joy to use. I can be done and dusted and very happy with the results in just over 20 minutes.

Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler and Dryer Complete Long in Limited Edition Ceramic Pink and Rose Gold (with Presentation Case) Dyson’s Airwrap is the absolute top-shelf tool for hair styling on the market, and in celebration of Mother’s Day, JB are slinging a gorgeous pink and rose gold edition! Keep reading to hear firsthand about the tool’s benefits, from mum and Airwrap devotee Jacinta Jones.

Behind the science If you’ve not yet heard of the scientific phenomenon which makes the Dyson Airwrap so revolutionary, here’s your cheat sheet: the Coanda effect is an aerodynamic wonder of the world, which describes the tendency of a fluid jet to stay attached to a convex surface. It’s named after Romanian inventor Henri Coanda, who recognised the potential of harnessing the effect in aircraft design in 1910. But what does it mean for your hair? Simply that the Airwrap can style using gentle air, not extreme heat — and while in use, it monitors the air temperature around the device over 40 times a second! It's an absolute game changer for the health of your hair. Curling cues So, how does this pioneering Dyson technology actually

look to the layman? Once you turn the Airwrap on, its jet of air gently collects your hair and wraps it around the device’s barrel. If that sounds scary, consider that you can simply move the device away from your head at any time, releasing the air stream’s feather-light hold on your mane by simple proximity. Of course, different ’dos require curls which coil in different directions – that’s the difference between a victory roll and a frustrating flop. But it’s an easy fix: simply change the direction of your curls between clockwise or anticlockwise by rotating the cool tip (with handy arrows for a visual prompt), which controls the airflow direction. Setting things straight If you’re after a straight style, don’t despair. There are two

straightening and smoothing brushes, so just clip one on, activate Enhanced Coanda, and align your hair into perfect sleekness. Get attached! There are six different attachments for all kinds of ’dos, so whatever you can envision, the Airwrap will get you there. Choose from two different diameter curling barrels (30mm and 40mm), two smoothing brush attachments (soft and firm), the round volumising brush (that’s the one with soft bristles all the way around, so you can give yourself a salon-grade blow dry), and the fly-away attachment, which will muster all your disobedient strands and set them neatly in place. There’s also a too easy-to-mess-it-up illustrated instruction manual to show you how they all work!

Keepin’ it neat There's one more little accessory which comes with your Airwrap, and it’s important: the filter cleaner. And, like the other attachments, it’s mega easy to use. Make sure your device is disconnected from the wall socket, and grab your cleaner - it looks like a cuff bracelet with little brushes on the inside curve - then slide it over the bottom of your Airwrap until it covers the filter cage (which is labelled on the device). Twist it backwards and forwards to loosen particles of dust which might have become caught, and then pinch the dot on the filter cage and pull down. The cage will clip off, and you can then rinse it clean under water. Don’t forget to make sure it’s completely dry before reattaching to your device.
