Focal length Written in millimeters (mm). In practice, lower focal lengths capture a wider shot, while higher focal lengths look more “zoomed in” and are great for shooting detail at distance. Keep an eye on this stat for closeups and product review style content. ISO This measures how well the camera shoots in low light conditions. Higher numbers mean more detail in the dark, with lower numbers better for bright scenes, so a wide ISO range is best. If you’re shooting under mood lighting or at night, you’ll want to pay close attention to ISO. Shutter speed How quickly the camera can “freeze” a scene, usually measured in thousandths of a second. If you’re shooting fast-paced action content, like sports, you’ll want a fast max shutter speed.
