WWE 2K23 and previous games, such as The Judgment Day, Zelina Vega, Jey and Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and more. All-new match types – yay! Can you please tell us more? In the new Special Guest Referee Match, players will see there’s a unique experience to playing as the guest referee, or they can take their chances trying to beat their opponent with a guest referee who may not have their best interests in mind. In the new Ambulance Match, players will have to not only beat down an opponent, but battle in a challenging minigame to close both doors and end the match. Similarly, in the new Casket Match the bell doesn’t ring until you can close the lid of the casket, as your opponent fights to escape. Finally, in the new Gauntlet Match, you have to defeat not one, but a series of opponents in a row to test your toughness and endurance. What’s in store for us in this year’s MyRISE? MyRISE has two new storylines – Undisputed for the men’s division and Unleashed for the women’s division. Players take control of their custom created Superstars looking to make a name for themselves and cement their legacies in WWE history. MyRISE features Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Mick Foley, and others performing MyRISE voiceover for the first time. Also, expanded rewards, original MyRISE characters and unlockables carry over into other game modes, so you’ll want to play through both MyRISE experiences to get all the goodies. Were there any particular fan-suggested inclusions that stand out this year? The Special Guest Referee match was actually the most requested match type after War Games, which carries over from WWE 2K23 . We’ve also introduced Persona Cards to MyFACTION, which allow players to carry over alternate attires and personas for Superstars on the roster into other game modes, something the community has requested since MyFACTION debuted. We’re always listening! Bryan tells us that we can expect the Superstars to look even finer this year, plus other graphical improvements… “Over 90% of Superstar facial expressions have been updated. There’s updated ring gear and entrances for many Superstars, and new camera angles and mechanics to provide a very realistic broadcast presentation. Also, the new Ramp camera and Dive cameras, and the ability to move the camera during live gameplay in AI vs AI matches, provide the most visually impressive WWE 2K experience to date.”

It’s wrestling time again this month, and WWE 2K24 is celebrating WrestleMania’s 40th anniversary in style. We had a chat with gameplay producer Bryan Williams at 2K to get the lowdown on what to expect. Words Amy Flower 40 YEARS OF MANIA!

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and The Undertaker, provided their voices. We were also able to capture some insights and nostalgia with some Legends and current Superstars, as they get to retell the stories of the biggest WrestleMania matches of their careers. With Cody Rhodes on the cover, obviously WWE 2K24 is about the new as much as it is about the old… Cody is the current cream of the crop, headed to the main event of WrestleMania for the second year in a row, and a WWE Legend in the making. Cody is an avid gamer and a big fan of our franchise, as are many of the current WWE Superstars on the roster.

Please, tell us more about the massive party that is the 2K Showcase… of the Immortals… We’ve got matches that span all decades of WrestleMania history! You can relive some of the biggest WrestleMania moments, including Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant, Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon’s legendary Ladder Match, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin taking his frustrations out on The Rock with a steel chair in a No Disqualification Match, Ricky Steamboat and “Macho Man” Randy Savage putting on one of the greatest matches of all time, the one-of-a-kind Firefly Funhouse match between The Fiend and John Cena, and many more.
