Daniel Bernhardt
that buddy, but thank you for being so kind.’ And to be honest with you, that guy is a real actor. He's a talented man, as good as anyone. He's great.” When asked what attracted him to Hell Hath No Fury , Mandylor's answer is quick and unequivocal. “The immediate response would be [director] Jesse V. Johnson.” Johnson and Mandylor have made several films together – including The Debt Collector 1 & 2 and The Mercenary – and the director is highly regarded by his peers as one of the most skilled practitioners of high quality, low budget action cinema. “Not only has he become a dear friend, he's an incredible filmmaker; whenever he calls I'm always open to working. And this project was great. It was at the beginning of Covid, when everything shut down and everyone was scared to do anything, and there was just nothing going on. But Jesse, he's a chief and a warrior, and he said, ‘Listen, I want to do this covert film out in the middle of friggin’ nowhere, with a ghost crew, and everyone signs a petition. "We did it, right? We just huddled and we covertly made this pretty kick-ass film.” Hell Hath No Fury is indeed a bang for buck wartime treasure-hunt movie that sits proudly alongside similarly themed films like Three Kings and The Monuments Men .
The hunt is on for a fortune in German treasure in the WorldWar II actioner Hell Hath No Fury , which actor Louis Mandylor describes as being “a rough shoot.” Words Glenn Cochrane H ell Hath No Fury sees the might of Hitler's army, the French resistance and the US military bearing
down on Marie (Nina Bergman), a French national. Labeled a traitor and on the run, her entanglement and betrayal of a high- ranking Nazi officer finds her at the mercy of American soldiers. The unit's commander, played by Louis Mandylor, promises to shelter her on the condition that she leads them to a fortune in German gold that's been buried in a nearby cemetery. What follows is a tense deadlock of minds and a race against time to find the loot before the Nazis arrive to claim it. But all is not as it seems, as Marie desperately bides her time for reasons unknown… Australian actor Louis Mandylor is a familiar face in Hollywood and is, perhaps, one of the hardest working actors in the business. Most recognised for his memorable character in the two My Big Fat Greek Wedding movies (and the short-lived sitcom), he has also starred in films such as The Debt Collector and Rambo: Last Blood , as well as his hilarious performance on Friends as Joey Tribbiani's lookalike. STACK caught up with him via Zoom to discuss Hell Hath No Fury , and discovered he was thrilled to have shared the screen with his Doom: Annihilation co-star, Nina Bergman, for this exciting war adventure. “Casting that role was not easy,” he says of Bergman’s Marie. “I was one of her fans when she was up for the role, and I actually drove her to the read-through before most of the characters were even cast. “Nina smashed it and then they hired her, and it was great to have known her beforehand.

It helped a lot because it was a rough shoot, you know? Making films is difficult in general, and this one was rough.” Ever the gentleman, Mandylor also heaps praise on his other co-star, the dynamic Daniel Bernhardt, whose star continues to rise with unforgettable roles in John Wick , Nobody and Atomic Blonde (amongst countless other films spanning a 26-year career). As a ruthlessly lovelorn Nazi officer, he is truly terrifying. “He's a pro, he's a gentlemen, and

“I'm hearing rumours about Fat 3,” teases Mandylor of the possible third instalment in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding series. “That would be nice, wouldn't it? We shall see. We're hoping to close the beautiful and wonderful franchise, and we'll get some news soon. Maybe yes. We'll see…”
he's super talented,” says Mandylor. “That performance! I mean look at the languages he was speaking, and his delivery. It was just beautiful and top-notch, I think.” As the conversation veers to Bernhardt's earlier direct-to-video movies such as Bloodsport 2, 3 & 4 and Perfect Target , Mandylor reflects on one particular moment he won't forget. “I'll share something with you, and I hope Daniel remembers this. When we had the read-through, he sat next to me. It was the first time I had officially met him and he said, ‘It's a pleasure to meet you and its great to work with a real actor, because I'm a stuntman actor' and blah, blah, blah…’ I said, ‘I'm not sure about
