FAST & FURIOUS: HOBBS & SHAW This spin-off from the Fast & Furious universe brought two of the world’s top action stars in Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham head-to-head for one of the most over-the-top action movie rides going. With stunning Dolby Vision-enhanced sights and bombastic Dolby Atmos sounds that will seriously rock your neighbourhood, this really is one

READY PLAYER ONE Only Spielberg could turn Ernest Cline’s ‘80s nostalgia gamer fest into a cinematic thrill ride for young and old, and he certainly succeeded. Everything looks amazing here, be it human or, erm, “other”. It comes to 4K via an often jaw-droppingly good Dolby Vision- enhanced transfer that does all the right things, while the cavalcade of sound is thanks to the wonders of Dolby Atmos.

absolutely stunning demo disc (and a fun flick!).

SHAUN OF THE DEAD Ground zero for the “rom- zom-com”, Shaun shambled onto 4K Ultra HD and it looks pretty darned good for a low budget flick, with lots of detail amongst the lots of zombies. Meanwhile, the HDR treatment is friends with all the red and whites on display. Sound-wise, this one doesn’t hold back. A new DTS:X mix is the order of the day, and it fires at us from all directions gleefully.

JOHN WICK It’s the simple tale of a man and his dog that’s spawned two ace sequels – and counting… Keanu’s titular hitman looks at his absolute finest with this top shelf native 4K transfer that also boasts HDR enhancement. As the bullets fly and blades slash, you may find yourself ducking and dodging if you unleash the full fury of the Dolby Atmos sound mix that’s included, too.

JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE The Robin Williams-infused 1995 take on the 1981 picture book Jumanji was an impossible act to follow, so the makers

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE The winner of an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film – and boy it feels good to type that – hit home in 4K style. Detailed HDR-treated vision looks divine despite its 2K origins, while the visual explosion is accompanied by a swinging Dolby Atmos sound mix that delivers all the sweet, sweet bass. Also, check out the very cool commentary track and Spider-Ham cartoon short.

STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE Do we need to write an intro for this classic? The original 1977

film that ignited a pop culture supernova, A New Hope landed on 4K Ultra HD looking better than we’ve ever seen it. The HDR- treated, native 4K presentation – taken from a new master that was created several years ago – looks magical. As for the audio? Dolby Atmos adds substantial, ahem, force to the whole experience.

here wisely went the “loosely based on” route. There’s nothing loose about the movie’s trip onto the 4K Ultra HD format, though. The transfer comes to us with Dolby Vision HDR enhancement, while the Dolby Atmos soundtrack has to be heard to be believed.
