The obvious question: does Alicia have a sibling named Diego or Daria? “No – Mum wanted two kids, AC and DC, but unfortunately she only got… not unfortunately,” Alicia corrects herself with a laugh. “She got the best.” Baby Alicia enjoyed a balanced music diet: from her mum it was thrash metal, classic rock, your Fleetwood Mac, Metallica, and Beatles; from her Aunty it was the pop influences of Elvis (“I’m still convinced I was meant to be with Elvis Presley,” says Alicia) and The Beach Boys. That solid bedrock of goodness bloomed into Alicia’s current love of pop-punk. “That’s where my heart is,” she says. “The Get Up Kids, Saves The Day… and I love a female-fronted band: Paramore, Garbage, No Doubt.” She’s also
