JOKER Release date: January 8 Todd Phillips gives us a different take on the comic book origin story, in this gripping tale of what made DC Comics’ legendary the Joker the Joker. With sumptuous Dolby Vision- bolstered native 4K vision and explosive – when apt - Dolby Atmos audio, it also looks and sounds an utter treat. The included standard Blu-ray also gives us further insight into the film via a selection of featurettes.

JOJO RABBIT Release date: March 25 The great Mel Brooks put things quite deftly when defending featuring Hitler in his film The Producers : “If you can make fun of him, if you can have people laugh at him, you win.” Taika Waititi does just that, and deservedly nabbed an adapted screenplay Oscar for this incredible war dramedy. It arrived on 4K Ultra HD with HDR enhancement and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, along with a must-listen commentary track fromWaititi.

The exhilarating thrill ride tale that revolves around 1960s Le Mans 24-hour supremacy raced onto the 4K Ultra HD format complete with stunning HDR-enhanced vision. While the detailed picture looks incredible, what elevates this disc to demo status is the power of the Dolby Atmos audio, which really goes the extra mile to immerse us deep in the racing action. The included standard Blu-ray gives us an ace eight-part, almost hour-long doco on the making of the film, as well as a trailer.

We always get excited when we see classic movies making their way to 4K Ultra HD, but we got REALLY excited when we heard what was coming up in June. First up, Steven Spielberg’s classic thriller Jaws is celebrating 45 years since it first terrified beachgoers, and is set to hit mid- month with a native 4K transfer. Feeling the need for speed? OK then, try Top Gun on for size! Yes Maverick, Goose and the crew are hitting home in a native 4K presentation. There’s also more Tom Cruise action in Days of Thunder and War of the Worlds . Meanwhile, The Elephant Man makes it home after a slight delay, also with a native 4K transfer. Add this quintuple treat to new releases such as Sonic the Hedgehog , Onward , Bloodshot and The Invisible Man , and June will be one exciting 4K month.

GEMINI MAN Release date: January 22 What’s better than one Will Smith? Two Will Smiths, in this doppelganger sci-fi action thriller from director Ang Lee! As well as delivering it all in scrumptious native 4K, this Dolby Vision- enhanced explosion comes at us at 60 frames per second, looking like a slice of real life. Coupled with the Dolby Atmos audio, it’s an incredible experience. A brief visual effects featurette also pops up on the 4K disc, while the included standard Blu-ray delivers alternate and deleted scenes, and more featurettes.

KNIVES OUT Release date: March 11 Rian Johnson’s fabulous, star-heavy modern whodunit popped onto 4K Ultra HD complete with Dolby Vision enhancement coupled with superb Dolby Atmos audio. To sweeten the deal even more, both the 4K and standard Blu-ray discs include a bumper collection of bonus goodies, including two audio commentaries, featurettes, a Q&A session, galleries and more.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Release date: April 1 The culmination of the nine- chapter Skywalker saga, The Rise of Skywalker landed on 4K Ultra HD with a breathtaking native 4K transfer featuring HDR enhancement. Meanwhile, all the incredible audio comes via a storming Dolby Atmos mix. If you’re into extras, you’ll love what the two included standard Blu-rays pack, amongst which is the fascinating movie-length documentary The Skywalker Legacy .
