W e’re a resourceful mob, us humans: having been served a dull-arse platter of no-more-live-music-for-the-foreseeable due to the new social distancing rules, our musical peers – and in particular Australian musicians, who just a few weeks ago were performing charity events left right and centre to support bushfire-affected communities across our country – are finding a way to bring smiles to our faces in this godawfully uncertain time. The hills (Instagram) are alive (pumping) with the sound of music (live home- isolation sets), so we highly recommend you keep an eye on the ISOL-AID and #TogetherAtHome movements. Supporting musos through buying their music and merch at this time is hugely important, and the wonderful people at Support Act have launched the COVID-19 Emergency Appeal, which will give a lifeline to music workers affected by tour cancellations and venue closures.
