Polling! Further enhancing the performance of the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic keyboards is true 8000Hz HyperPolling, which achieves a speedy 0.60ms latency (as tested at 0.1mm actuation). Razer claims that this makes these keyboards up to eight times faster than the industry standard. When paired with a high refresh rate display, this ensures near-instantaneous responsiveness. Form! The Tenkeyless model offers a classic competitive layout, packing in a 5052 aluminium alloy top plate, multi-layered internal foam, and secondary media keys. It’s designed for players who want a compact footprint without losing function keys. Meanwhile, the Mini 65% is even more streamlined, removing the function row as well as the separate directional cluster, while still retaining arrow keys. Its smaller size makes it perfect for players who need maximum desk space. Features!
If you thought there was nowhere to go in upping the technology of keyboards, then Razer’s new Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic series is here to convince you otherwise. Available in bothTenkeyless and Mini 65% models, they introduce Razer’s Hall Effect Magnetic Switches for enhanced control. Words Amy Flower INSTANT ATTRACTION!
HOW DOES IT FEEL?
Magnetic! An innovative contactless design calibrated at the factory for exceptional accuracy of actuation distance, Razer’s Hall Effect Magnetic Switches are rated at an incredible 100 million keystrokes. The fully adjustable actuation range runs from 0.1mm to 4.0mm, which means that players can tailor key sensitivity to suit their exact playstyle – from ultralight, hair trigger touches to deeper and more deliberate presses. Speedy! One of the most impressive features that these switches bring is what Razer call “Rapid Trigger Mode”. This continuously tracks how much keys travel, rather than just registering traditional binary actuation, or to put it simply, off or on. What this means for players is that keys reset as soon as they begin to rise, which dramatically improves movement responsiveness, and that’s especially desirable in fast-paced FPS games.
This pairs with Razer Snap Tap, which ensures that two selected keys never register at the same time, so there’s no chance of pesky accidental
Both Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic models feature textured doubleshot PBT keycaps for extra durability, six onboard profiles that are easily recallable via hot keys, and full support for Razer Synapse Web, which allows browser-based configuration of features such as actuation points, Rapid Trigger sensitivity, and Snap Tap pairs. Add Razer’s Chroma RGB lighting, which allows every key to be programmed just how you want it, and you get top-shelf features as well as incredible in-game performance.
While there’s different technology under the bonnet, when typing normally the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic feels – and sounds - like a typical mechanical keyboard. But pressing a key slowly reveals how smooth the process is compared to a regular keyboard.
neutral inputs. Dynamic!
Each of the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic keyboards also support Razer Dynamic Keystroke, which allows up to four actions to be assigned to a single key – two upon pressing, and two on release. This allows for advanced control schemes such as instant cancels, or multi-step ability chains.
If that’s not handy enough for giving you a playing edge, Snap Flex lets you bind two keys to a single press. This allows all sorts of possibilities for simplifying actions that require perfect timing, for example jumping and throwing a grenade.
Connection! A USB-A to USB-C cable is included, and it’s braided for extra durability. Having a detachable cable means that players can easily replace one that gets damaged, or even swap it out for a preferred cable. Compete! Even if you’re not up to pro level playing, with either of the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic keyboards you can be armed like a pro. With their raft of features, both keyboards deliver what’s needed for elite-level speed and accuracy.
HALL OR NOTHING!
The Hall effect is named after American physicist Edwin Hall, who is credited with discovering in 1879 how electricity and magnetism could work hand-in-hand to move objects, with their position and distance able to be accurately measured. What it means in relation to the Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic keyboards is that rather than using traditional key switches with touching parts that can degrade over time, the use of Hall effect sensors involves no contact between parts. In a nutshell, this means durability, and precision.
The Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Tenkeyless and Mini 65% are available now.
