What’s your earliest video gaming memory?

Since I was born in the early 2000s, my earliest memory would be from the Nintendo Wii or DSi era of gaming. I distinctly remember my first ever game was The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night on my DSi.

My absolute all-time favourite game series is The Legend of Zelda , which may sound boring at first but what’s interesting is that my favourite game from the series – and just favourite game of all time - is Tears of the Kingdom .

My absolute favourite part about working in games is when customers, typically parents, are looking for a gift for their kid and they ask for my recommendation. I get to pick out the perfect one.

If every single copy of Tears of the Kingdom was destroyed and it was sold again for $500, I would still buy it in a heartbeat. So, I’d say the Nintendo Switch.

God of War

1 What was the first game that you played? My first “real” gaming experiences came with the Commodore Amiga 500, where I spent countless hours playing games like Superfrog and Cannon Fodder . 2 What was the last game that you finished? I often find myself not finishing games, not because I lack the time, but because I’m especially captivated by their beginnings. The early stages of a game feel fresh and exciting: I’m discovering a new world, learning its mechanics, and watching the story begin to unfold. There is a strong sense of mystery and anticipation about what lies ahead. Every new location, early conversation, and opening battles spark my curiosity and keep me engaged. 3 What’s your favourite video game/series of all time? I would say that my favourite video game series of all time is God of War , specifically the original trilogy set in Ancient Greece. The first three games had something really special for me. They were intense, brutal, and cinematic in a way that just felt ahead of their time. It was the perfect mix of gameplay and storytelling that made it feel like you were playing through a movie. 4 What do you think is the most underrated video game of all time? There are many games that fly under the radar or deserve better recognition, but if I had to pick one, it would be Sleeping Dogs . I remember it as a really strong experience, with great atmosphere, solid gameplay, and a unique setting. It had a lot of personality, but for some reason it never really became part of the long-term gaming conversation in the same way that other open-world titles did. 5 What’s the game that you most wish you’d worked on? If I had to choose a game that I would have loved to work on, it would be The Witcher . The original title felt like a pioneering moment for both Polish game development and CD Projekt Red as a studio. There is something special about being part of a project that helps define an industry locally while also still trying to find its identity globally. That mix of ambition, experimentation, and limited resources makes it really inspiring to me.
