I hope I figure this out.’ But I was just writing to get this feeling out, and it ended up turning into Weapons .” For actor Josh Brolin, Weapons arrived at the right time - after 40 years in the business, he was seeking new challenges. “This kind of came up, and I hadn’t seen Barbarian , but I read the script for Weapons and I thought the design of the script was really compelling, really

interesting. And I kept going back to it. But I was looking for the wrong thing. Then I met with Zach, and I felt like he was an open book.” Lead actress Julia Garner, whose recent projects include TV's Ozark and The Fantastic Four: First Steps , is no stranger to horror, having starred in Wolf Man and Apartment 7A . For her, Weapons is more than just a fright flick. “I think, in a strange way, this movie isn’t just a horror movie. This is going to sound really weird, but I think it’s also a love story. And what I mean by love story, is that it’s about people having the desire to connect but not knowing how.” Glenn Cochrane
