GENRE: ACT/ADV PLATFORM: PS4 MULTIPLAYER: NO MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN

Word on the street is Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4 is one of the greatest games to hit this console generation – and we'd be inclined to agree. Playing as an experienced Spider-Man/Peter Parker, there's no need for introductions, deaths of Uncle Ben, or coming to terms with your newfound powers; it's straight into the swing of things. Traversal is a big part of a Spider-Man game, and

thankfully Insomniac have hit the nail on the head with this one, with webswinging and general parkour both a blast. Traversal and combat blend seamlessly, with Spider-Man able to engage enemies from anywhere, using stealthy or slightly more lethal options wherever he sees fit.

Taking a leaf out of Bruce Wayne's dusty book, combat is very similar to the Arkham games, but you'll need to be a bit more light on your feet; Parker can't take as many hits as old Batman can. Your best bet is webbing enemies to walls, or staying airborne to deal as much damage as possible without taking too much in return. Marvel's Spider-Man is a true joy to play. Whether you're swinging aroung the city as Spider-Cop, or helping out in the science lab or at Aunt May's homeless shelter as Peter, you really feel like you're being a superhero. The controls are tight, the animations breathtaking, and the writing is up there with some of the character's best. Do yourself a favour and grab a copy of this if you haven't already.

GENRE: MMOFPS PLATFORM: PS4/XBO/PC MULTIPLAYER: YES DESTINY 2: FORSAKEN

They actually did it. They actually did it. They killed Cayde. Everyone's favourite vanguard, and the quippiest bloke in the universe. Once you've come to terms with that, in Destiny 2: Forsaken , you're out for revenge. Thankfully it's a dish best served cold, as you'll have a few lower- ranked bad guys to deal with before you get to the big, big bad of Uldren. But finding out who those

barons are is half the fun, so we'll leave that part down to you. Sure, the story's all well and good, and that'll while away your hours nicely, but the true gem to be uncovered in Forsaken 's chest of new features is Gambit. This new multiplayer mode could arguably be reason enough alone to purchase the new expansion, as it's some of the most fun we've had in Destiny to date.

Essentially, Gambit is a new PvPvE mode, in that your fireteam of four descends into a map to fight AI enemies, but these enemies drop motes. Banking enough motes lets one person from your team 'invade' the enemy team and wreak absolute mayhem. Gambit is a 50/50 split between taking down enemies and banking motes without dying, whilst also looking over your shoulder for the enemy team every five minutes – and you'll have a blast the whole time. Destiny 2: Forsaken is this game's Taken King; a true return to form for a game that many had left behind, with a highly enjoyable new multiplayer mode in Gambit that will keep everyone entertained.
