HAVE A LOLLIPOP! Two other classic Disney animated movies make their way to 4K Ultra HD this month. BIG HERO 6 AGE: 6+ A technological mystery is afoot in San Fransokyo, and it just may take the heroism of young Hiro, his inflatable robot pal Baymax and a bunch of science whiz kids to get to the bottom of it. Cool quote: “Excuse me while I let out some air.” – Baymax

If you’ve a little princess in your life then you’re likely going to wish that you had a dollar for every time that you’ve heard the word “Frozen”. This month sees Elsa, Anna and friends back at the cinemas in Frozen II , and it’s time for fans of all ages to celebrate all things Disney and royal. Words Amy Flower

S et three years on from the events of the first movie, Frozen II kicks off with Elsa hearing a peculiar sound calling her from the north. With her sister Anna in tow, plus Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, they all set off on a journey outside of Arendelle, with the aim of discovering where Elsa’s magical powers came from, and also – quite importantly – to save their kingdom! As well as featuring a captivating new story, Frozen II gives us a bunch of new songs, with artists on the soundtrack including the return of Idina Menzel with Into the Unknown , as well as the likes of Weezer and Panic! At the Disco. November 28 is the day that Frozen II opens in Australia, so it’s also the day that your little princess will likely be a) frocking up and b) nagging you to take them to see it. Be prepared!

ZOOTOPIA AGE: 8+ While working together with a

con artist fox, Zootopia’s first ever bunny cop must face all manner of challenges in order to get to the bottom of a big conspiracy that’s going down in their city. Cool quote: “Sir, I’m not just some token bunny.” – Judy Hopps

become an official Princess with a capital ‘P’. In order to do so they must: • Have a starring role • Not be introduced in a sequel • Be human – or become human (hi, Ariel!) • Be of royal birth, marry into royalty or perform an act of great heroism • Have been successful at the box office, but not TOO successful We reckon that Vanellope von Schweetz ticks the “acts of great heroism” box, so we’ll continue to campaign for her right to permanently party as an official Disney princess!

DISNEY PRINCESS RULES

Did you know that, despite hanging out with the rest of them in Ralph Breaks the Internet , Frozen ’s Elsa and Anna aren’t actually official Disney Princesses? Besides the fact that Elsa is a queen, the two have proven so incredibly popular that they’re left to their own devices in promoting their franchise. This is also why Peter Pan ’s Tinker Bell had her Disney Princess membership revoked a while back. Yes, there’s a distinct set of rules, so not just any Disney or Pixar heroine can

COMING SOON

PRINCESSES LOOKING GOOD

Australian cinemas will get creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky – and, of course, altogether ooky – from December 5 as the animated version of The Addams Family hits screens. Meanwhile, younger kids might prefer to get in on all the action of Playmobil: The Movie , which arrives on December 12. Stepping away from the animated realm, December also sees the arrival of a little old flick entitled Star Wars:The Rise of Skywalker (December 19), as well as all the adventure of Jumanji:The Next Level on December 26.

Three Disney Princess movies are set to arrive on the very cool 4K Ultra HD format in November. MOANA AGE: 6+ Based on Polynesian TANGLED

THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG AGE: 6+ This updated spin on

AGE: 6+ The tale of Rapunzel gets a makeover, as the crazily longhaired teenager who’s been imprisoned in a tower since she was teensy takes a hapless bandit captive one day, striking a deal that leads them to go on a fantastical journey. Cool quote: “That's the funny thing about birthdays, they're kind of an annual thing.” – Rapunzel

mythology, Moana tells the tale of a young girl of the same name who sets off to have the heart of goddess Te Fiti returned by demigod Maui, in order to bring prosperity back to her village. Cool quote: “If you wear a dress, and have an animal sidekick, you're a princess.” – Maui

classic fairy tale The Frog Prince sees waitress Tiana cross paths with the rather arrogant Prince Naveen. Enter a voodoo-slinging witch doctor and we’re in for a frog spell, a kiss and lots of croaky drama. Cool quote: “There is no way I'm kissing a frog and eating a bug in the same day.” – Tiana
