Kingsman: The Secret Service is another collaboration between director Matthew Vaughn and comic book writer Mark Millar, following their 2010 superhero romp Kick-Ass . Despite the title, most of the movie takes place underwater, and whether it’s dolphin rap battles, time travelling, alternate realities or bad puns, it’s safe to say there’s pretty much something for

everyone in this feature-length 3D rendering of Bikini Bottom. Starring the voice actors from the series – Tom Kenny as SpongeBob, Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick, and Rodger Bumpass (yes, that’s really his name) as Squidward – with guest star Antonio Banderas as Burger Beard, it’s not as if the film strays from the Nickelodeon series’ perennially bonkers template. The

show was as popular with adults as with little ones, perhaps due to its weird, almost illicit substance- induced fervour, and things haven’t changed. Bigger and crazier than 2004’s The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, this offers as much fun as The Lego Movie in terms of hilarious sight gags and one-liners. In other words, fun for all the family.
