Razer Electra v2 Razer have just introduced a new gaming headset that won’t break the bank.

T he Razer Electra V2 is a new and improved Electra that can be used for gaming, or even music audio. It’s 40mm drivers are small enough that the earcups are not overbearing, and their plush, leatherette design ensures a snug fit every time. The Electra V2 has a durable aluminium frame (so it will survive being thrown across the room in a gaming rage) and offers great sound isolation, meaning you can really focus on whatever you're listening to. The headset features a removable mic and 7.1 surround sound, and the best part is it connects using a 3.5mm adapter;

it’ll fit pretty much any device, from your Xbox One or PS4 to your PC or mobile phone. The headset even has on-ear controls that let you change the volume and mute/unmute the mic. If you have an unusually shaped head (hey, no judgement from over here), the Electra V2 may not be the best for you, as there aren’t many options for resizing or adjusting the headset, but it will fit most noggins. It’s also lacking Razer’s signature Chroma lighting setup, but coming in at under $100, it’s one of the best bangs for your buck you can get as far as gaming headsets are concerned.

Sick of using headsets and want a proper, immersive sound experience on your computer? Perhaps you should opt for the new Razer Nommo Chromas. Razer Nommo Chroma

A twin-speaker setup, the Razer Nommo Chroma features full range 2.0 audio through 3” drivers and utilises rear-facing bass ports. While they’re a bit bigger than you might expect from the pictures, the speakers are unobtrusive and should fit nicely either side of your monitor for that proper surround sound setup. The Nommo connect either with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, or via USB if you want to make use of the Chroma functionality and its 16.8 million colour combinations (which we would recommend). Razer’s new speakers give you a full positional audio experience, whether it’s quietly stalking someone in Far Cry 5 or

just checking out a new track from your favourite artist. Its wide range of bass also means you’ll get the best out of every experience, with an emphasis on clarity in more intense, cinematic games. The best part about Razer’s Nommo Chroma satellites (not speakers) is how easy they are to set up. You just need to connect the speakers to a power outlet, then to each other, and then to the computer. It’s really that easy. One thing to remember; push the volume button to turn them on. It’s very easily overlooked, and could leave you wondering why they aren’t working.
