T heresa Wayman – guitarist and vocalist for psychedelic indie-rock group Warpaint – has slipped away from her LA assemblage and found a beautiful new shell to call home, as solo act TT. On LoveLaws , kit beats shudder and sift across planes coloured by oaken piano chords and Wayman's whispered, chopped vocals. Emma Baker (drums) – present their ideas fully formed, fully engaged and full of an arresting sang-froid. Their sound blends the snapping bass of Talking Heads with casual B-52's flourishes, and is expertly produced by Nicolas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, War On Drugs). This is a must-listen from a band who are undoubtedly heading towards big things. ZKR
