Don't worry if you haven't seen The Strangers ; this belated sequel to the 2008 home invasion thriller also works as a standalone film. This time the setting is an eerie and deserted lakeside trailer park, where Christina Hendricks and family are terrorised by the trio of masked psychopaths identified in the credits as Dollface, Man in the Mask and Pin-Up Girl. And once again there's a chilling lack of motive to the mayhem. Director Johannes Roberts ( 47 Metres Down ) seems more inspired by the work of John Carpenter than Bryan Bertino's original shocker, resulting in a surprisingly slick and stylish sequel to satisfy horror fans. A season like no other! The ladies of Litchfield have had enough. The shocking death that ended season four provides the impetus for a seismic prison shake up, and now the inmates are in charge. Taking place over just a few days, season five delves into the heightened intensity of the ensemble coming to grips with their unprecedented situation. The oppressed are now in charge, but with so many factions, will a power struggle bring about their own demise? Since the first season, Orange is the New Black has not shied from taking risks, expanding the cast and their respective story arcs. This riot bring their destinies together. AC

The fourth season of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan's underrated vampire saga is the grand finale, and the best has been saved for last. Picking up almost a year after the apocalyptic season three cliffhanger, the eternal night of a nuclear winter has given the strigoi free reign to hunt humanity, and unless a way to defeat the Master can be found, all will be lost. The stakes are high, the battle scenes big and bloody, and fans of the series and novels can expect a satisfying sense of closure to both the story and character arcs. But few are likely to miss the loathsome Zach! AC

More than 10 years after we last said goodbye to Will Truman’s apartment and his motley crew of friends, not much has changed. Shaking up a couple of the details following the original series’ finale, we find Will, Grace, Jack and Karen still content with each other’s company. It’s great to see the foursome still gelling so well after almost two decades together, and falling back into step so effortlessly. The reboot excels thanks to its acknowledgment of the passing of time – the quartet embrace the new century with new technology, a new presidency, and a new world order. Will & Grace is truly back, honey. AK
