GAME of the SHOW PAUL: For me, there wasn't one game that stood out more than the others that I played, so consequently I couldn't make up my mind. Instead, this year I'm picking a few. These are representative of my personal favourite gaming highlights of E3 2017. In no particular order then: Far Cry 5, CoD: World War II , the campaign level of Star Wars: Battlefront II and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. ALESHA: Despite Paul talking it up after last year's E3, I still didn't know much about Sea of Thieves until I played it at this year's show. Not sure if that worked in my favour, but I came away from this year's show yearning for an eye patch – and that wasn't just thanks to the Californian sun. It might have a lot to do with the lovely Xbox crew I played with, but if you've got the right – and appropriately crazy - crew, this one is a must. BITS AND PIECES

FOOD BLOG PAUL: There's precious little time to eat when you're chasing appointments at E3, but one of the highlights could be found at the Microsoft media morning. Here, seeking shelter beneath a silver-plated food dome, were egg and cheese breakfast burritos. My final tally for the morning? Seven. ALESHA: Ubisoft's melt-in-your-mouth cupcakes at their press conference were like swallowing clouds. FOOD OF THE SHOW

We haven't seen him since Monday – maybe he's dead? I don't even like video games.

Fitness is the last thing on your mind at E3, but with all the walking involved across the show floor, we decided to count the steps between the South and the West halls.

PAUL: I'm calling it, here. It's a tough choice - some of the 17 hamburgers we destroyed in LA were truly monumental – but I think this one belongs to the parmesan-crumbed eggplant sliders housed on certain buffet tables at the PlayStation pre-media briefing party, washed down with a cold bottle of Heineken. A perfect accompaniment to said sliders were the sautéed brussel sprouts, sprinkled with crushed almonds.
