our “Most Anticipated Games” list last year, but we’re including it again for old time’s sake. Maybe this time it’ll actually see the light of day? TBC Days Gone

Before you go, “Oh, not another zombie game,” Days Gone is running on the Unreal Engine 4 and

features music composed by Nathan Whitehead, who you’ll have heard in Gears of War, Infamous, and even Ratchet & Clank. So it’s like the best bits of zombie games all rolled into one. TBC

With 2016 now a distant memory, it's time to cast our eyes forward to the coming year. Here’s what’s on the slate for 2017 – provided nothing gets delayed, of course. Let's get excited!

2015, and we’ve been waiting since then to play the darn thing. Generally, most games that feature Tom Clancy

God ofWar Kratos is back. Need we say more? This time he’s stepped away from the whole God thing, and is trying his hand at fatherhood. Wonder how long that’ll last? TBC Prey From the studio that brought us Dishonored

Fractured ButWhole This one was supposed to come out in December, but slipped and fell on its butt. Having been privileged

comes Prey – a revisiting of the 2006 title of the same name. Spearheaded by Raf Colantonio and with music by an Aussie, you need to give this one a look. It’s set in a space station under threat. John’s back, and it looks like he’s brought with him a posse of sauntering mates. TBC

enough to experience The Fractured But Whole with the Nosulus Rift, it’s safe to say this sequel to The Stick of Truth will kick up quite a stink when it finally launches. Q1 2017 Death Stranding You’re lying to yourself if you think you aren’t excited about this

For Honor The best Valentine’s Day gift anyone could ever ask for. For Honor lets you play as a Viking, a knight, or a samurai, and it will even include a kick-ass multiplayer with a heap of customisation options. Can’t wait. Feb 14

HaloWars 2 The Halo Wars series has always been adored by Halo fans as a departure from the first- person shooter formula, and a haven for those interested in the story while

one. Death Stranding is Hideo Kojima’s first game since departing Konami and heading up his own studios, Kojima Productions.

Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen both have starring roles, and that’s pretty much all anyone knows about it so far. We need it – yesterday. TBC Scalebound

Sea ofThieves One of the most left-field surprises of this year’s

perhaps not fans of shooters. The second one is due to come out in Feb, and our new enemy is a brute named Atriox. Feb 21 Horizon Zero Dawn This PlayStation exclusive stars Aloy – a female huntress that’s taking on the wilderness with nothing but a bow and arrow. Did we mention the wilderness is full of robot dinosaurs? It’s an open-world RPG from Guerilla Games, running on the same engine as Death Stranding . Mar 1 Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon

E3, Sea of Thieves was an outstanding title for most in attendance. Developed by Rare, you can take to the high seas and pillage and plunder as you please. Multiplayer included. TBC Telltale’s Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale haven’t released a bad game, so when

This Xbox exclusive has been waiting in the wings for a while now, and is tentatively scheduled for a 2017 release. Think Final Fantasy meets Monster Hunter meets

you combine their prolific storytelling with Marvel’s immersive Guardians of the

Galaxy series, there’s more than an Awesome Mix full of potential. Absolutely pumped. Come and get your love. TBC
