GAME OF THRONES: THE COMPLETE SEASONS 1-6 We were treated to a double helping of our favourite HBO show last year, with both Season 5 and 6 hitting the shelves in March and November, respectively. The entire series to date was then packaged in a beautiful boxed set emblazoned with a stunning dragon mosaic – and a Daenerys Pop Vinyl Figure, if you were lucky enough to grab the JB Exclusive Limited Edition.

Trekkers celebrated Star Trek 's half-century milestone with this commemorative collection featuring all three seasons of the Original Series, the first six movies (including the new Director's Cut of The Wrath of Khan ), and 20 hours of bonus features including 50th Anniversary multi-part documentary Star Trek: Journey to the Silver Screen . Here's to another 50 glorious years.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS 3D Fans who felt short changed by the lack of a 3D edition last April were finally compensated with a 3-disc set in collectable packaging that also included extra deleted scenes and an insightful commentary from director J.J. Abrams. THE HATEFUL EIGHT Quentin Tarantino's super- widescreen extravaganza is best appreciated on Blu-ray. Needless to say the transfer looks fantastic, preserving the 70mm frame in the Ultra Panavision ratio of 2.76. Just don't watch it on a small screen.

Ryan Reynolds threw out the rulebook for studio superhero movies with this instant fan favourite. The extras – including two commentaries, deleted scenes and gag reel – are as much fun as the film. Maximum effort!

The creepy clown craze didn't last long, but you can still feel a rush of coulrophobia when you pick up the 1990 mini- series adaptation of Stephen King's massive novel. Available Jan 4 for a limited time and only at JB Hi-Fi stores, this Steelbook edition, with Tim Curry's sinister Pennywise leering at you, is where IT's at!

THE MARTIAN

One of last year's best flicks was also one of 2016's best Blu-ray transfers. The Extended Edition that landed in September adds 10 mins of unseen footage, but the new bonus features are out of this world.
