WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

Before you raise your fists in anger, worry not; this isn’t a remake of the 1995 Robin Williams classic. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle introduces four school kids who have to clean out the campus basement as part of detention. They stumble upon an old gaming console and are quite literally sucked into the game’s environment, taking on the personas of one of four avatars each – Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Dwayne Johnson. They must then discover their true talents and fight their way to the end of the game, all the while avoiding the dangers Jumanji has to throw at them – including, of course, wild animals.

As if you needed any other reason to believe that Hugh Jackman is this generation’s greatest triple threat, he’s now set to star as famous philanthropist P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman . Barnum was renowned in America for his Grand Travelling Museum, Menagerie, Caravan and Hippodrome, and for the colourful characters he travelled with. In this film iteration, he’s joined by Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Zac Efron, and Michelle Williams (among others) who comprise his travelling troupe. Keep an eye out in particular for the undeniably spectacular costumes and the beautiful, picturesque set-pieces, and prepare for a second viewing so you can take in everything you missed the first time around.
