don’t sound that good, but you can hang them on the wall!” One recent release Greg’s keeping off the wall is Sting’s 57th & 9th , with which he was happily surprised. “I’ve liked Sting since I was a kid, since The Police,” he says. “I enjoyed those last 10 years where he was exploring a few different things, but it’s nice to hear him doing a full-on rock album again. He’s just got an amazing voice." Other recent releases Greg's enjoying are Harts' Smoke Fire Hope Desire , Alex Lahey's B-Grade University and Epica's The Holographic Principle . So I’ve got a couple of his, like the Charlie Brown Christmas special.” When he needs some rock
in his ears Greg spins the 25th anniversary edition of The Pixies’ Doolittle . “It’s awesome – it gave you the Peel Sessions, a whole bunch of B-sides, a whole bunch of demos from that time, as well as some live stuff. A great package!” He also likes his heavy metal, and explained to RR the picture disc tradition. “They’d do it as a limited edition thing in the '80s – print the album cover onto the vinyl,” he says. “Bands like Iron Maiden and Poison – they’d do a run of 300 or 500 for the collectors. Now it’s kind of kicked in again. They
