While you may not be familiar with the name, Corsair has been producing top shelf PC peripherals since 1994. Sensing an opportunity in the market, two years ago the California-based company launched a range of gaming accessories skewed towards the eSports professional and high-end PC gamers. With a focus on quality, Corsair is now ranging these products in retail, offering mice, keyboards and headsets. This month, we received a couple of products to road test. We do get quite a few headsets in the STACK office to review, varying from the budget entry- levels, right up to the big guns that you’d have to sell your mother’s designer breed spoodle to finance. The Corsair Void RGB USB headset sits somewhere in between. It has a sturdy build quality and features microfibre covering over the earcups. This is of course a personal preference, but my ears tend to sweat with faux leather coverings, so the microfibers are where I tend to gravitate towards. It’s a comfortable with the 50mm drivers snuggly fitting right over the ears; the adjustable headband is also padded with memory foam. Volume and mute controls are easily accessible on the cup and the unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone features an LED light that informs the wearer whether the mic is live or muted. As for Corsair Void RGB USB Headset

Corsair M65 Pro RGB It's not often that you’ll hear a gaming mouse referred to as ‘deadly’, but that’s exactly what Corsair want you to think when you unbox your M65 Pro RGB. A competition-grade (in other words, esports ready) FPS-tuned gaming mouse, the M65 Pro RGB has all the tech you need to be at your very best, with some extra thrown in for good measure. Featuring a 12,000 DPI gaming-grade optical sensor, an advanced weight-tuning system, and RGB backlighting, there isn’t much this peripheral doesn’t have.

sound, the Void uses a USB dongle to achieve simulated 7.1 surround sound and the headset delivers a solid soundscape representation right across the board. Used with the excellent Corsair propriety software, it comes with five preset EQ profiles, but the EQ settings are also fully customisable. Using the same software, the Corsair symbol on the earcups can also be customised in any colour and can be matched to an existing Corsair keyboard and mouse configuration if that’s your thing. If you’re a PC gamer in the market for a solid performer that features 7.1 surround sound and won’t break the bank, these certainly warrant closer inspection.

This DPI is also instantaneously customisable, through two buttons on the top of the mouse itself, which can actually mean the difference between a win and a loss in the middle of some games. One thing setting the M65 Pro RGB aside from its competitors is its Sniper Mode; a specially configured setting (activated by a button on the side) making the best use of low sensitivity for more precise aiming and an easier kill every time. You can use Corsair’s software to tune the change in DPI, too – as low as 100 DPI, in increments of 100 DPI. If that wasn’t enough, there are adjustable weights to suit your preferences, and the M65 Pro RGB also features a smart aircraft-grade aluminium build that feels great in hand. You even have eight strategically placed buttons at your disposal – we found them more useful playing League of Legends and World of Warcraft: Legion , but diehard FPS fans will undoubtedly find good use for them. Your M65 Pro RGB also comes fully equipped with three customisable RGB lighting zones, meaning you can change the look of your mouse to whatever colour combination you desire. You can even sync it up with your other Corsair RGB-enabled products, should you wish. Complete with customisable macros and swappable hardware, Corsair’s M65 Pro RGB is a responsive, fine-tuned beast of an accessory.
