Tyr0din's Top 3 content creators: Muselk BazzaGazza Crayator

recognising streaming/content creation as a viable career? To be honest with you, I didn't even realise that this is something that would eventuate into a viable career, not to mention the wider world of content creation/streaming as a whole. I can say with 100 per cent certainty that Australia is behind when it comes to the rest of the

however once you have a foot in the door you have to be willing to work hard, put the hours in and bleed your passion on to whatever it is you are doing. The single best piece of advice that I can give is to have patience. You will not see the results immediately, it may take a month, two months, a year, etc, but your time will come; you just have to keep working for it. The best example that I can cite to back up that claim is the story of another good friend of mine, Crayator. What are your favourite games? I have many favourites! Overwatch , Battlefield, Resident Evil, Diablo, World of Warcraft, I could go on and on! However my favourite game of all time is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic . That game blew my mind and truly captured the essence of a Star Wars RPG. TL;DR- I love FPS, MMOs & RPGs :) If you weren’t doing this as a career, what do you think you would be doing? Well before this, I spent almost 10 years in the RAN (Royal Australian Navy), so I really don't know where or what I would be doing if it wasn't for this. However I'll be optimistic and say I would have been an Astronaut. That's cool right?

We’re profiling some of Australia’s biggest content creators to see what really makes them tick. This month we spoke to Tyr0din!

When did you first start out making online content? I first started making content in September 2016. What got you into content creating in the first place? To be honest, it was the support of a good friend of mine, Elliott - or Muselk, as he goes by on YouTube. He told me that he thought I should give it a go due to the positive reception that I received when appearing in his videos. I was hesitant at first, but with his support I eventually built up the confidence to do it, and the rest is history. What do you think is the best part about being a content creator? For me, the best part of being a creator is the fans and sense of community that is fostered. To be able to correspond with as many of my fans as possible, whether it be over Twitter, Discord, YouTube comments, Twitch chat and even

world, especially our internet speeds! For example, I still dont have the NBN in my area and I am forced to use a 4G modem to stream. It is very costly. What advice would you give to anyone looking to take up a career as a streamer or a content creator?

emails is amazing. To know that your videos or streams have affected someone else's life for the better is simply an awesome and indescribable feeling. The second best thing is being able to play video games for a living, creating unique experiences with your friends and sharing it with the world. Do you think Australia is behind in comparison with the rest of the world when it comes to

I was very, very fortunate to run into a YouTuber/content creator whilst playing a match of Overwatch back in the day, and it just so happened that the YouTuber in question was the biggest in Australia. I didn't aspire to become a streamer/YouTuber/ creator; it just happened that way due to the encouragement and support of my friend Elliott. I realise that I was incredibly lucky in that circumstance,

1 First game you ever played? Probably something horribly old like Pong but the first game I beat (well, made it to Space Avenger anyway) was Gorf on the Vic 20. 2 Last game you finished? Far: Lone Sails . Pretty short game but beautiful and inspiring. Highly recommend it. 3 Favourite game of all time? XCOM: Enemy Unknown . I’m a big fan of the Firaxis games too but Julian Gollop’s original is the game that made me have to get into the games industry. 4 Most underrated game of all time? Frozen Synapse by Mode 7. I know anyone who’s played it will say “That’s not underrated, it’s acknowledged as brilliant”. Yes, it is but everyone should have played it. Everyone. It’s one of the best, most innovative and, in its own stylish and stripped back way, beautiful tactical games ever made. 5 Game you wish you had worked on? I’d love to have made Papers, Please . It’s the coalescence of story, tone and emotional breadth through game mechanics that I find so admirable. I’m very jealous of that game.
