BEYOND THE JOKE
A ustralians love a good joke, and viewers will get plenty of them in That’s Not My Dog! , coming to DVD in May. There’s 86 of them, in fact, delivered by some of Australia’s funniest comedians – including Jimeoin, Paul Hogan, Fiona O’Laughlin, Marty Fields and Paul Fenech – in this new comedy from Shane Jacobson and director Dean Murphy. "The film is a salute to the dying act of joke telling," Jacobson tells STACK , adding it's also a gift to his father Ron, who appears in the film. "I was raised in a house of comedy, so I was blessed with jokes growing up and became tragically aware that people just aren't telling them anymore." Jacobson explains that for today's generation, comedy has become an internet meme on a phone. Consequently, That's Not My Dog! was conceived to celebrate the dying art of telling a good joke, which he says is all in the delivery, punchline and timing. "A really good joke teller is a good storyteller – people like Ronnie Corbett, who had the talent of making a joke funny all the way through."

T hings are busy in the gaming Yakuza world, with news that Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming for PS4 later in the year. A year after Kazuma Kiryu took his leave from the Yakuza, he finds himself drawn back into its fray.
This new outing – a remake of the original Yakuza 2 – promises new action, minigames (Golf Bingo!) and more heat actions. It’s been built on the most up-to-date Yakuza engine – the Dragon Engine – which means that we can
look forward to incredible graphics and seamless in- game transitions. Yakuza Kiwami 2 will launch on August 28, joining the highly anticipated – and also PS4-exclusive – Yakuza 6: The Song of Life , which hits on April 17.

ALISON WONDERLAND I f you're feeling an emotion really acutely, Alison Wonderland says, there are useful ways to deal with it and there are unhealthy ways to deal with it. For herself, she's found a useful way. " When you feel such an extreme emotion, you’re always in need of an outlet for that," she explains. "You know, if some people are super sad, they’ll get super wasted. Or they’ll go for a long drive. But it inspires you to go and do something extreme, to let out the energy that you’re expelling emotionally. For me, it’s writing." We're pretty stoked it's worked out like that, because the Sydney-born L.A.- residing DJ megastar has knocked it out of the park on new album Awake .
