Do you have a vinyl collection? If so, how did it begin, and expand? I have a large vinyl collection. It started with movie soundtracks – namely Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill – but now I have entire sections of pop/alt/blues/jazz/ electronic/rap/R'n'B/punk/rock. What do you enjoy most about working at JB? I love being involved in the release radar, getting to know upcoming releases and talk about them to customers – getting excited for the latest album and diving in to the behind the scenes of what went on. I especially like when an artist releases new music after a long break, for example the new André 3000 album New Blue Sun being an instrumental flute album after 17 years of waiting for another rap instalment. I love the customers' faces when they realise the change, and I take enjoyment from them trying it out, even if it’s not what they normally would listen to.

What‘s an early, cherished music memory?

Mum cracking out her records for the first time! Seeing that vinyl spin awoke a passion in me I would carry on through life. Which recent album do you currently have on repeat? For All the Dogs by Drake, but I’m constantly spinning old albums I forever love. What‘s your all-time favourite album and why? Too hard to pick one, [so here's] one in each genre: Fleetwood Mac's Rumours , The Beatles' Abbey Road , Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , and Masayoshi Takanaka's The Seven Goblins.
