Commonly seen and heard in suburban backyards and at sporting events, the portable transistor radio was a game changer, allowing users to take their favourite radio programmes and sports coverage mobile. This latest release features a nearly identical design to the QuietComfort earbuds but features a few significant improvements. The first is what the brand is calling Immersive Audio. Essentially, Bose’s version of spatial audio, the big difference here is that you won’t have to fork out on a higher subscription tier to access it – the QC Ultra will convert music from any source to its Immersive Audio mode. Once engaged, the sound quality is astonishing, and something you need to experience in person to appreciate fully.
