What‘s your all-time favourite album and why? Tricky... probably Pelagial by The Ocean (2013) or Night Is the New Day , by Katatonia (2009). Do you have a vinyl collection? If so, how did it begin, and expand? I have about five vinyl [I've collected of my own], including one Baroness LP signed by John Dyer Baizley. Meeting him and getting the chance for him to sign my vinyl was how I started my small collection – and also I have my grandfather's collection, from the '80s.

What do you enjoy most about working in music at JB? I started in music, and though I don't work

there anymore, I loved being able to connect with people over music, discuss tastes, and give more alternative recommendations.

What‘s an early, cherished music memory? Listening to Monster Magnet and standing on my dad's feet, dancing in our lounge room when I was three years old. Which recent album do you currently have on repeat? Mutoid Man's War Moans , off the back of Titlefight's Hyperview .

Like a moth to a flame, that's the way our love for Janet Jackson burned this time 30 years ago! Sales of Janet's mononymously self-titled 1993 album went ballistic off the back of single That's the Way Love Goes , the video for which included a then-unknown J-Lo as one of Janet's besties.
