COOL NEW GAMING TVS IN 2023 LG G3 OLED evo Samsung S95C QD-OLED Available in three sizes – 55”, 65”, and 77” -
A stunning television for movie lovers, LG’s latest G3 OLED is also brilliant for gamers. Combining the benefits of OLED with a blistering 0.1 millisecond response time and low input lag, it’s music to a gamer’s ears – and eyes! LG’s Game Optimiser pop-up is where the action is, allowing players to quickly select and switch between game genre display presets, and adjust other gaming-specific features. Settings for Nvidia’s G-SYNC, FreeSync Premium and HDMI-VRR with HGiG (a dedicated HDR for gaming) are easily accessible, too. Then there’s the Game Dashboard, an overlay menu that provides useful controls and information on display settings and performance that users can quickly access while they play. A big new feature is Quick Media Switching VRR, which eliminates black screens when swapping between different devices, as long as they support the functionality. Coming in 55”, 65”, 77”, and 83” models, with all the picture benefits of the latest technology from the OLED originators, and four speedy HDMI 2.1 48Gbps bandwidth ports, the LG G3 OLED evo is a top gaming choice.
Samsung’s 2023 QD-OLED range combines the best of two technologies to deliver breathtaking picture quality. Samsung’s RGB Quantum Dot tech coupled with OLED delivers over eight million self illuminating pixels. With no backlight, that means perfect blacks, and the brightest whites, with all shades of the rainbow – and then some – in between. Super-slim at just 11.2mm, the S95C series packs all the features that a 2023 gamer demands, including a 144Hz refresh rate, support for AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro and, of course, ALLM. Meanwhile, 12-bit processing delivers incredible black details, while Object Tracking Sounds expands the aural experience in new 3D ways. The S95C’s new Game Bar also serves as a brilliant onscreen hub for allowing multiple TV adjustments on the fly, as well as adding a zoom function that’s handy for such things as enlarging in-game mini maps for extra detail.
Your flexible friend! In the not-too-distant
future gaming TV watch, LG are preparing to launch their latest screen aimed at gamers mid this year in the LG Flex OLED Gaming TV. This one’s already exciting enough in that it’s a great desk-sized screen that’s using the best OLED technology, but wait, as they say, there’s more! The ‘Flex’ in the title refers to the TV’s ability to bend its screen to just how you want it, with 20 levels of curvature ranging from none at all to pleasingly enveloping. Naturally all the specs that a gamer demands are included, such as Dolby Vision gaming at 4K 120Hz and those super-desirable HDMI 2.1 features like VRR and ALLM. The Flex OLED Gaming TV is also G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync compatible. Add such extra features as height and tilt adjustment, a built-in mic, a super anti-reflective screen, and a built-in USB hub, and this one's a serious contender for any top gaming rig.

HISENSE U7KAU ULED Mini-LED Hisense are delivering significant upgrades to their U7KAU series in 2023, and gamers in particular will be reaping the benefits. As well as featuring an upgraded 144Hz VRR panel, for all the best in gaming and HDR, you’ll be able to equip yourself with a U7KAU in a size of up to a huge 100”. Not surprisingly, this year’s models of Sony’s Full Array LEDTVs are perfect for PlayStation 5 gamers – but that doesn’t mean that players of other persuasions miss out on all the action! An Auto HDR Tone Mapping feature means that picture quality is instantly optimised during setup of your console, while Auto Genre Picture Mode automatically switches into game mode for an optimised console experience. If you want to tweak the settings, then the handy Game Menu lets you quickly manage them, as well as assist functions, via one convenient interface. Equipped with HDMI 2.1, this means support for such highly desirable features as 4K at 120fps, VRR, and ALLM, the upshot of which is smooth and clear movement for the most responsive gameplay possible. Couple these dedicated gaming features with the various picture, sound, and smart features of the X90L series and it’s a great TV package.
