MARCH
What’s one of your all-time favourite films, and why? The poignant and stunning conclusion to Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Three Colours trilogy, Three Colours: Red , is a movie that resonates with me very deeply. It’s a showcase of human nature and explores the beauty and intricacies of lasting human connections. What’s one of your all-time favouriteTV series, and why? The Sopranos. It has stood the test of time, and you won’t find a greater lead performance than that of the late James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano. This grounded yet sometimes surreal show is a must-watch for anyone.
QT often uses tracks from existing film scores in his movies, like David Bowie’s Cat People (Putting Out Fire) in Inglourious Basterds , and Regan’s Theme from Exorcist II in The Hateful Eight .

What’s the best thing about working at JB? Definitely building long lasting and strong relationships with my JB fam! What’s a movie you saw as a child that has left a lasting impression on you? Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed is such a perfectly cheesy movie. It’s got the perfect cast and a great sense of humour that I enjoyed as a kid, and adore as an older kid.
What have you been watching lately that you’d recommend? Avatar: The Way of Water . Being seated in a full cinema with my 3D glasses on and the energy of the film washing over me is an experience I’ll never forget. The beautiful and captivating imagery paired with an emotionally investing story is a treat for the eyes and a treat for the soul. Cinema is back, and here to stay!

IN DEVELOPMENT Skydance Media is currently riding high from the success of Top Gun: Maverick and is now looking to capitalise on the popularity of recent water-based movies like Avatar: The Way of Water and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever . It has been revealed that Jurassic World director, Colin Trevorrow, will be helming the upcoming Atlantis for Skydance. It promises to be a big-budget sci-fi adventure based on the mythology of the lost underwater city. The casting and storyline remain secret, although we do know that Trevorrow will be working from a script written by Charmaine DeGraté ( House of the Dragon ).
Brace yourself, because this might come as a shock. Broadchurch , starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman, made its television debut in March 2013. The award-winning British crime-drama about a murder investigation in a small seaside community struck a chord with critics and viewers alike, and remains one of the most highly respected examples of the genre. Three equally compelling seasons were made, and Tennant would also go on to star in the American remake, Gracepoint .
