FEATURE LIFE TECH
WHAT: Sonos Ray Soundbar
WHY: Soundbars are the quickest and easiest way to add better sound quality to your viewing experience – be it movies, TV shows or gaming – but not everybody has the space to safely mount or perch one. You may also wish to bolster the audio from a smaller screen. Soundbar masters Sonos have come to the rescue of the space challenged audiophile, with the arrival of the Ray. Brilliantly compact at only 22 inches wide, it’s also designed to be tucked away in an entertainment unit or bookshelf, with all speakers pointing towards the front. Just because it’s compact doesn’t mean the Ray lacks power, with four Class-D digital amplifiers delivering solid bass and crisp dialogue that’s been tuned by Hollywood experts. Plus, it’s super-easy to set up, and you can easily expand down the track with surround speakers, a subwoofer and more. WHO: If you want powerful sound but your space is tight, or you have a specific nook in mind that everyday soundbars just wouldn’t fit – like a bedroom shelf – the Sonos Ray may be the one that’s just right.
