Print that! For some, a printer is a key partner in the home office. But with so many different options available, which one suits your needs? An ink jet printer is cheaper, but the cartridges are expensive, so it's best suited for occasional use. For high-volume printing, a laser printer is a solution. Although the initial cost is high, a laser printer uses powder-based ink, which is cheaper to replace. Printers that use ink tanks allow individual colours to be replaced instead of the entire cartridge. It saves on waste and cost. A good option for an all-rounder is a multifunction printer that can print, scan and copy, while a duplex printer saves on paper by printing on both sides. The HP Instant Ink subscription service is a great idea for volume printing. A monthly fee depends not on the amount of ink used, but on the paper printed. The model offers five tiers from 50 pages right up to 1500, and whatever you don't use is credited to your account. If you print more than usual, the 'smart' cartridge (via the home network) will automatically send out an SOS, and more ink will be sent. Used cartridges can be sent back to HP. It's a win-win.

Epson ET-2810 Multifunction Printer This multifunction printer utilises big ink tanks as opposed to cartridges for large printing jobs.

1. With the number of photos and videos we shoot daily, storage is important, so always opt for the biggest that your budget will stretch to. 2. You've always got a camera in your pocket with a smartphone, and camera technology is a big selling point in new generation phones. If video and photography are important, you'll want the tech to suit. 3. Similar to your home computer, a superior processor in a smartphone means tasks are completed faster, and that's good for productivity. 4. A larger screen is better for viewing content like images and videos, or playing games. And screen resolution will ensure that all the media and video games will look the best. 5. Heavy usage means depleted battery life, and there's nothing worse than being caught short. Look for a phone with excellent battery life.
