A triumph of science fiction world building, Dune is a complex brew that can prove challenging to those unfamiliar with Frank Herbert’s classic novel and David Lynch’s 1984 movie adaptation. To make things easier, STACK presents a ‘who’s who’ guide to assist newcomers in navigating this vast and intricate universe. Words Scott Hocking F irst published in 1965 and set in the year 10,191, Frank Herbert’s award-winning novel Dune follows the struggle between the situation on Arrakis as the film opens.
