What’s one of your all-time favourite films or TV series, and why?

My favourite TV series is probably The Good Place . A fantastic cast and great plot with brilliant inside jokes makes this one stand out. The twist at the end of season one puts this on the must-watch list for anyone. Special mention to RuPaul’s Drag Race – shantay, you stay!

Like everyone else, I was obsessed with Squid Gam e. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that eerie soundtrack. Another recent fave is Ted Lasso – I urge everyone to not sleep on this one! Even if you don’t typically like sports, the characters are absolutely brilliant. What have you been watching lately that you would recommend? Of course! Nothing beats the feeling of unwrapping a new case to pop in a new disc. I have a particularly great Disney collection.

What’s the best thing about working in movies at JB?

I love seeing new release stock when it arrives! From blockbuster films to new Pop! Vinyls, it’s always a highlight of my day. Another highlight is our fantastic regular customers always seeking a chat or recommendation – I love providing suggestions for what to watch next!

What’s a movie you saw as a child that has left a lasting impression on you?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show . My dad allowed a probably not-quite-old-enough me to watch it, and I doubt I will ever forget the Meat Loaf freezer scene!
