SAM TESKEY STUNS SOLO

S amTeskey's debut solo album shimmers with canny spontaneity, coiling round your inner ears like the sun creeping up one of the gum-laden hills that surround his Warrandyte home studio (where the LP was recorded). F rom the very first droning and warped guitars, we're welcomed into the warm embrace of My Morning Jacket’s self-titled, ninth record. It's an exercise in refining and expanding a sound that is hard to imitate, but beautiful and full to hear.
