What’s your all-time favourite album and why?

Changes constantly, but at the moment it is Talk Talk's The Colour Of Spring . The pioneering sound for what became post-rock, and one of the best transitional sound albums ever.

Do you have a vinyl collection? If so, how did it begin, and expand?

Yes, yes I do. It started with wanting some artwork for the walls and became something bigger as soon as I got a player. Finding some obscure albums in vinyl stores and op-shops has expanded my collection constantly.

What’s an early, cherished music memory?

Not cherished at the time but when I was 8, my mum played Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds for me. Scared me for a good week!

What do you enjoy most about working in music at JB?

The joy from customers finding an album or song they have been searching for. Plus, the conversations about music with all that come through the section are always great.

Which recent album do you currently have on repeat?

Iceage's Seek Shelter – amazing work from the Swedes.
