WELCOME Like many industries, entertainment conventions have had to adapt over the last 18 months and adapt fast. Despite sitting out 2020, this year the world’s premiere gaming festival, E3, took itself online, running virtual events and bringing the latest games-release news straight into our homes. Our illustrious games editor pulled the midnight shifts to stay across all the important developments, and this month you can read her full coverage in STACK . Could there be a bigger personality in the Australian music industry than Jimmy Barnes? We not only spoke to him about his new release, but he’s also our cover artist for July. Elsewhere in music, we caught up with Brisbane’s The Jungle Giants and the ubiquitous The Veronicas. Following on with the music theme, our focus in Life Tech is audio and our annual buying guide will give you all the information you need to land the perfect pair of headphones or earbuds, wireless speaker, soundbar and turntable. And in movies, we talk to Aussie director Simon McQuoid about shooting the new Mortal Kombat film Down Under, while in TV, subversive superhero series The Boys returns with an even wilder and crazier second season. Paul Jones, Editor-in-Chief
