Moving out of home for the first time for uni or to live with friends or partners can give the bottom line a significant hit if you’re starting from scratch. But there are ways to assuage the financial pain, especially when shopping for small appliances for Kitchen Appliances for Less

the kitchen. If you’ve already been window shopping, the price differential between products can be startling. However, when you’re getting your feet on the first rung of the ladder, you can afford to dispense with a feature-rich appliance and opt for one that simply performs the basics. The key is to keep it simple, and keep it cheap.

Tips to save you dosh 1 Kitchen appliances make excellent housewarming gifts, so if anyone asks what you need for the big move… 2 Got a birthday coming up? Ask for gift cards. 3 Buy what you need and not what you want. It’s hard but you’ll save a lot by sticking to this mantra. 4 Have a back-up appliance of similar value in mind in case you can’t get what you’re looking for. Talking from experience, NutriBullets are practically bulletproof. An excellent device that encourages a healthier lifestyle, with a twist you can knock up a fruit or veggie smoothie or a sports shake, knowing you have the exact portion size required for your daily intake. And you have a vessel on hand that's ready to drink from and easy to clean. G. SodaStream This one needs no explanation. If, like us, you’re addicted to sparkling water, there isn’t a more cost- effective way to add bubbles to your aqua. The humble SodaStream is always a welcome addition to the home. F. What are the key considerations?

Have a plan in place before you begin to make decisions around which kitchen appliances you need to buy. You don’t have to get them all at once, either – outline the essentials and grab those first. There’s plenty of time to collect the less essential appliances once you’re in and sorted. Again, budget is vitally important. That $200 toaster would certainly look dope on the kitchen bench but you could grab

two or three appliances for the same amount. Another consideration is space. If you’re sharing with housemates, storage can be at a premium, especially in the kitchen, so check out the space before you invest. And do your research – just because it’s cheap doesn’t necessarily mean it’s nasty. You can pick up some great products in the bargain basement price range.
