Stocking Filler We all know nothing beats the original Star Wars and that extends to the artwork, too. And now you can take some time out after demolishing your Christmas lunch to build this 1000-piece jigsaw from the film where it all began.

The Home Entertainer Most of us know a family member or friend who love their gaming and movies. But do they have the back-up in the audio department? No self-respecting home entertainment system is complete without some grunt behind it. Go on, spoil them!

What is it? Samsung HW-Q950T

What‘s the crack? This whopper soundbar from Samsung is top of the range with 9.1.4 channels and support for True Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. It comes with two rear speakers and a sub. The 950T can be connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and, for what you‘d expect from a premium soundbar, delivers a full cinematic sound ideal for films, plus a Game Pro mode for players. Who would it suit? The 950T works as well with the latest range of Samsung TVs as without. No entertainer will be disappointed with it.

What is it? Sonos Beam What‘s the crack? The entry level soundbar from Sonos is a big performer for its price bracket. Compatible with HDMI ARC, the Beam connects over Wi-Fi and features built in voice control support for Google Assistant and Alexa. As for the sound, you will not be disappointed – a big punchy bass sounds excellent across movies, games and music. Who would it suit? An excellent unit that will fill any space, can be built upon and won‘t break the bank.

Buying tips

1 Think about the space you‘re catering for. If it‘s a bedroom then you won‘t need a system that‘s going to lift the roof off. Conversely, a larger space will require a more powerful unit. 2 If you can, opt for the best your budget can stretch too. You won‘t regret it. 3 A soundbar offers a concise solution without the hassle of wires. And they look good to boot.

What is it? The Sonos Arc and Sonos Sub What‘s the crack? While these are both sold separately, they‘re a match

made in sonic heaven. The Arc has been designed for TVs above 55 inches and incorporates voice control Dolby Atmos for that big exceptional wall of sound from the front, the sides and above through 11 drivers in the soundbar. Throw the sub into the mix and prepare for neighbourhood complaints. You can‘t just hear the bass through sub, you can feel it, adding complete cinema immersion to the home entertainment experience.

Christmas Cracker: Jingle Bells was originally written in 1857 by American songwriter James Pierpont and was originally called The One Horse Open Sleigh .
