Copilot+ PCs will also feature a new AI powered experience called Recall, which helps users quickly find things from their PC’s past, such as documents, images, emails, voice chats, and websites visited. Recall creates a timeline stored on the PC that users can search, even months later, and “access virtually what you’ve seen and done on your PC in a way that feels like having a photographic memory,” according to Microsoft. While this inbuilt AI’s total recall may make some nervous, Microsoft emphasised the importance of privacy and security in Copilot+ PCs. The AI features are built with robust privacy protections to safeguard user data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and Recall tracking can be filtered to further protect privacy. All day battery life is another part of this Windows PC revolution, with Copilot+ PCs promising up to 22 hours on a full charge. Moreover, Copilot+ PC users who need to design an image can use the AI-powered Cocreator to generate a visual interpretation based on a text description or a sketch. And Live Captions will translate audio during voice chats and videoconferences, and is expected to support over 40 languages.
