It’s a special Instax portable smartphone printer edition that’s designed with lovers of all things Mario in mind, just in time for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie , which is in Aussie cinemas now! The clever little printer lets users bring their favourite gaming moments into the real world. No special software is required on the Switch or Switch 2, as image sharing functionality is built in, so players can print screenshots from their games onto credit card-sized Instax Mini film. It’s a doddle to get going, too, as the console connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone using the free Instax Mini Link 3 app, which lets users play with customised layouts, and print images from games or personal photos.

Beyond its basic printing capability, the Mini Link 3 Nintendo Switch Mario Edition delivers interactive features that are designed to make printing a social and entertaining experience. Its multiplayer – well, multiuser - modes include Party Print, Frame Print, and Match Test, all of which let friends collaborate on prints. Motion control adds another fun element – you can tilt or flip the printer to trigger actions like reprinting an image. AR creativity! The Instax AiR Studio feature brings augmented reality elements to the printer, allowing you to create cool scenes and then capture them as a photo.
