DIRTY HARRY Fans of Clint Eastwood in his prime will have their days made when they pop this serial killer cop thriller into their 4K players – yes, San Francisco’s Inspector Harry Callahan is hitting the format, and he’s doing it in style as he tracks down a madman
SNATCH Guy Ritchie’s second directorial effort built upon the gritty vibe that he established in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels , and added a near intelligible Brad Pitt to the mix. What wasn’t to love? The wild tale of gangland boxing

The big 4K Ultra HD releases just keep on coming, and for starters it’s a great month if you’re into classic westerns. Leading the charge is Clint Eastwood doing his thing on May 14 in Pale Rider (native 4K, HDR10, Dolby Atmos), as well as The Outlaw Josey Wales (native 4K, HDR10, Dolby Atmos). The classics continue with John Ford’s 1962 epic, starring John Wayne and James Stewart, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance on May 21 (native 4K, Dolby Vision/HDR10, Dolby TrueHD 5.1). Moseying on back to May 14 releases, animation fans should get set for both the original 2010 How to Train Your Dragon (HDR10, DTS:X) and 2014’s How to Train Your Dragon 2 ((HDR10, DTS:X), with the third instalment, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (HDR10, Dolby Atmos) rereleased to complete the set. Continuing the fantasy theme, Tarsem Singh’s captivating The Fall (2006) also makes its way to 4K (native 4K, HDR10, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1), as does the sci-fi classic It Came from Outer Space (native 4K, HDR10, DTS-HD Master Audio 3.0). Like a scary movie? Take your pick this month from brutal Thai horror in Shutter (native 4K, HDR10, DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 Thai), or the more recent AI based creepy fest that is M3GAN (native 4K, HDR10, Dolby Atmos). Finally, action fans don’t miss out, for the original John Wick is back – in steelbook form! John Wick: Titans of Cult (native 4K, HDR10, Dolby Atmos)) also includes a unique pin, cult stand, and collectable art cards in a hard outer box.

Aaron Eckhart and Hilary Swank star in this sci-fi spectacular, which finds itself on 4K Ultra HD via a native 4K transfer that features both Dolby Vision and HDR10 enhancement. All the full-on sonic delights of this fab big dumb disaster flick hit our ears via DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Out May 21
