EDITOR’S PICK THE LEGEND OF OCHI MADMAN RELEASE DATE: Aug 27 Fans of ’80s adventure movies are in for a real treat with this quirky coming-of-age fantasy that recalls the magic of Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal . Set in a timeless world between modern society and medieval times, it follows a young girl who befriends a lost baby monster and defies her village to return it home. Helena Zengel stars alongside Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, and Finn Wolfhard in a charming adventure filled with practical effects and puppetry. Like the classic kids’ films of the ’80s, it’s a little dark at times, but remains wholesome and delightful.
